Fighting Boredom favourites The Coathangers have announced a new album ‘The Devil You Know’ released on March the 9th on Suicide Squeeze records. They shared the first taste of the album today, have a look below.
The Coathangers were one of our live highlights of 2018, so the news of a new album is very welcome. Of the new track guitarist/vocalist Julia Kugel said: “Bimbo” is a bittersweet note on love, self preservation, and letting go. It came together naturally and was one of the easiest songs to be written for the new record. It tells two sides of the story but still feels uplifting and positive. An acceptance of things the way they are.”
It’s a blend of the softer, emotional side of The Coathangers and the punky loud live chaos they create. It’s like a balance of everything we love about The Coathangers, I’m really looking forward to the album now.
